Senet

An ancient Egyptian racing game described as a metaphor for the afterlife. Players move five pawns along an S-shaped path on a 3 by 10 board, using the results of four two-sided sticks to determine movement. Players race to bear all their pawns off the board while blocking opponents and navigating safe and trap spaces. The original rules are unknown, so modern versions are based on scholarly reconstructions.
