Terrorscape

Players take on asymmetric roles in a storm-dark mansion: one player is the Killer and the others are Survivors trying to escape. Survivors search rooms for keys, repair the radio, gather items and manage a fear mechanic while avoiding making noise that reveals their location. The Killer tracks sound, blocks routes and uses special abilities to hunt and corner the Survivors. Each side uses unique characters and powers, producing tense, variable encounters that resolve in about 30–45 minutes.

One vs. three and there will always be someone searching somewhere. A way too small search deck will let anybody get those keys in no time. Also, with the right character and a lucky draw you will be able to fix the radio and call the police before the killer is even able to reach the room you're in. Too easy to get rid of fear tokens, too. As visually stunning as mechanically mediocre.

Rules questions

Answered from the rulebook by Ludoya's rules assistant.

When can Survivors exchange items with each other?

Survivors may exchange items with other Survivors who are in the same location as an optional step during the Survivors’ turn (the Exchange Items step). (page 12)

What do block tokens do — can Survivors or the Killer move through them, and how are they removed?

A block token prevents a Survivor from moving through that connection but does not stop item use; a Survivor can remove a block token in their location using Action 4 and must immediately tell the Killer to update their map. The Killer can move through and remove block tokens when moving (they do not remove block tokens when using Stealth). (pages 13–14, 22)

What makes noise and when do we inform the Killer where it happened?

A Survivor’s third fear token causes a noise in their location, certain search/discover items show noise icons (⚠️ or ▲) and make noise when drawn even if discarded, and at the end of the Survivors’ turn you must inform the Killer which locations had noise. (pages 13, 16–17)

Can a Survivor search if the Killer is in the same room?

No — a Survivor cannot perform the Search action while the Killer is in the same location. (page 16)

If the Killer finds a Survivor during a Search, does the Killer get to keep acting afterward?

When the Killer encounters a Survivor you resolve attacks until a survivor successfully defends or is defeated, and after an encounter the Killer must immediately draw 3 cards and end their turn. (pages 18, 24)
