This expansion introduces Queen Ariad as an alternative Overlord for Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition), allowing her to appear in campaigns beyond Labyrinth of Ruin. Her Tangled Web Plot deck focuses on deceiving and ensnaring heroes, particularly when combined with Trap cards. It also strengthens Wilderness monsters, including bonuses for attacks made from outside the heroes’ line of sight, encouraging ambushes and attacks from unexpected directions.
