Enemy at the Gates

A detailed operational-level wargame that simulates the Soviet counteroffensives and German responses around Stalingrad from November 1942 to mid‑March 1943. Players command battalion‑to‑army formations on large hex maps, resolving movement, combat, supply, relief attempts and airlift operations across half‑week turns. Scenarios range from short engagements to the full campaign, including the encirclement, the Soviet follow‑on offensives, the German relief efforts and von Manstein’s counterattacks. Each side has distinct force structures and doctrinal differences that shape how units are employed, rewarding careful planning and operational-level decision making.
