Players field six new heroes with distinct abilities, deploy modular hex terrain and destructible fungal objects, and use army cards, dice, markers, and scenario rules to resolve combat and objectives. New mechanics introduce shadow tiles and living Shroudshrooms that change movement and line-of-sight, while reactive and interrupt-based powers create tactical timing choices. Matches emphasize cinematic, moment-to-moment decisions—petrification, quickdraw duels, stealth attacks, and aerial scouting—while supporting cross-faction synergies and expandable forces.
