Mystery of the Abbey

A monk is murdered in a medieval French abbey. Players move through rooms of the abbey, examine cards and use limited questions to build information about the suspects’ attributes. Suspects are defined by multiple traits (order, title, body type, head covering, facial hair); one suspect card is hidden and the rest are dealt to players. On a turn a player moves, questions present monks in the same space, and opponents may answer or take a vow of silence, triggering follow-up questioning. Periodic “Mass” turns reset positions, trigger event cards and force card passing, while specific rooms grant special card actions or extra turns. Scoring rewards correct accusations and partial declarations of traits and penalizes incorrect claims, so players balance risk and deduction rather than relying on a single final guess.
