Napoleon at Leipzig

The 1813 campaign around Leipzig recreates Napoleon’s attempt to hold Germany as three Allied armies convergently surround the city. Players command corps, divisions and batteries on a hex map at operational scale, maneuvering French and Coalition formations over turns that represent one to several hours. Gameplay emphasizes maneuver, coordinated attacks and the risk of encirclement: French forces try to strike isolated enemy wings or effect an organized retreat across the Elster bridge, while Coalition players seek to converge and overwhelm. Multiple start dates and scenarios cover the six-day battle, with orders of battle, revised rules and terrain that highlights key cavalry ground south of Leipzig.
