In 2008, a stolen vial of the Blacklight Virus shatters in New York City, rapidly infecting the population and transforming a Blackwatch hit squad into mindless monsters. The scientist who created the virus is resurrected, while the government imposes martial law and recruits Blackwatch to contain the outbreak.
