Players take the roles of escaped slave-gardeners in a post-apocalyptic medieval fantasy setting, working together to confront a rising supernatural Threat. Exploration proceeds by revealing numbered terrain and event cards to open new areas, interact with NPCs, and resolve encounters. Players develop a shared city over the campaign, making persistent choices that alter future scenarios and lead toward a final confrontation with the Threat. Play emphasizes cooperative decision-making, scenario-driven narrative exploration, and resource and event management as the world progressively collapses and regrows around the players.
