The Key: Theft in Cliffrock Villa – The Crown Witness

Players contact a reluctant crown witness who demands proof before cooperating; a single start-of-game card determines a question about the case that the witness will ask. During play, players may focus on answering that question. The first players to provide a correct answer record it and claim a free clue, while the last player to answer receives no benefit. This variant consists of additional rule and hint cards and introduces a brief race element at the beginning of the investigation without changing the core deduction mechanics.
