Ticket to Ride Map Collection 5: United Kingdom & Pennsylvania

Two maps present distinct variants for use with the base game. One side recreates early rail development across the British Isles, where players unlock technologies by spending wild cards to build longer routes, ferries, and lines into Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and may buy bonus cards that grant extra scoring opportunities. The other side depicts Pennsylvania with a corporate-share mechanism: completing routes earns shares in historic rail companies, and end-of-game majority holdings award additional points. Both variants use the standard route-claiming, card-drawing, and destination-ticket play of the core system and can be used as an expansion for compatible regional maps.

Szabálykérdések

A Ludoya szabályasszisztense válaszol a szabálykönyv alapján.

How many Destination Tickets do I keep at the start, and how many when I draw more later?

On Pennsylvania, keep at least 3 of the 5 dealt at the start; when drawing more, take 4 and keep at least 1. On the United Kingdom map, the starting rule is the same, but a later draw is 3 tickets, of which you keep at least 1 (Pennsylvania p. 2; United Kingdom p. 2).

Do I need Locomotives to claim a ferry route?

Yes. Play one Locomotive for each Locomotive symbol on the ferry, plus the usual cards matching the color of its other spaces. On the United Kingdom map, you also need the Propellers Technology to claim ferries (Pennsylvania p. 2; United Kingdom p. 2).

When I claim a route in Pennsylvania, do I get to choose a Stock Share?

You may take the top share from any railroad shown on the route you claim; routes without railroad logos award no share. If that railroad’s shares are gone, choose an available share from another railroad shown on the route (Pennsylvania p. 2).

In the United Kingdom game, can I claim long routes or routes outside England right away?

No. At the start, you have no Technology and can claim only 1- or 2-space routes in England; you cannot claim ferries. You need the relevant Technology cards to access other areas, longer routes, or ferries, except the Southampton–New York route, which needs no Technology (United Kingdom p. 2).

What can I use Locomotive cards for in the United Kingdom game?

At the start, each player gets one Locomotive in addition to four Train Cards. Any four cards can be played as a Locomotive, and you do not discard face-up Locomotives when three or more are showing (United Kingdom p. 2).

Do the two tracks of a double route both stay available in a two-player game?

No. In a two-player United Kingdom game, claiming one track makes the other track unavailable; in games with three or four players, both tracks may be used (United Kingdom p. 2).
