Age of Rome

Set in 44 BC Rome, players lead rival factions vying for imperial power by managing resources, advancing agendas, and competing for influence across the provinces. Each player controls a hero with a personal board, hidden quests, and a pool of Denarii, Followers, Scheme tokens, Legions, and Votes. Play proceeds over nine rounds on a rotating provinces board, and each round has distinct Scheme, Building, Action, and Income phases. Players activate schemes and resolve events, construct buildings in assigned provinces, place Followers to take actions and win votes, deploy Legions to conquer regions, trade or collect goods, and develop religious sites. Glory points from these activities and completed secret quests determine the winner at game end.
