Heroscape Master Set: Swarm of the Marro

Jucătorii construiesc un câmp de luptă modular atașând și suprapunând plăci de teren care se îmbină între ele, inclusiv piese noi de mlaștină și apă de mlaștină, apoi își trimit în luptă armatele de miniaturi sculptate, alcătuite din eroii și grupurile Marro din set. Fiecare unitate are o valoare de mișcare măsurată în hexagoane și urcă la niveluri superioare cu un cost suplimentar; căderea de la înălțimi mari poate provoca daune, cu excepția cazului în care unitatea cade în apă. Luptele se rezolvă cu zaruri de atac și apărare: atacatorii aruncă numărul de zaruri indicat pe cartea lor, apărătorii aruncă un număr de zaruri egal cu valoarea apărării, iar craniile în plus provoacă răni până când se atinge valoarea vieții unei unități, moment în care aceasta este eliminată. Scenariile folosesc un sistem de recrutare bazat pe puncte, iar setul este compatibil cu extensii, hărți create de jucători și reguli avansate.

    The best miniatures skirmish game I've ever played. This Master Set is structures around Marro figures, which feels a little limited for me, but may be more coherent to new players. PROS - Amazing terrain: absolutely no other game looks this good when displayed on the table. - Good-looking pre-painted figures. - Easy to teach and learn. - Simple atributes and powers system for the characters, with no complicated rules nor exceptions. - Simple movement and combat system: no need for rulers nor any other components. - High level of strategy with the possibility of bluffing and deceiving. - The possibility of creating an unlimited number of scenarios and variants. CONS - The almost inexistent distribution in Spain. - The fact that it has been discontinued for a lot of years, so finding material isn't easy nor cheap.

    Great characters, same good game as the original set, but less terrain! Better as an expansion rather than as a starter set.
