Jump Drive
Players compete to expand a galactic civilization by developing technologies and settling alien worlds using a shared deck of cards. Each turn, players simultaneously choose roles that determine actions like drawing, settling, producing, or trading, then resolve those actions to play cards as developments or worlds and score points from combos and resources. The game uses streamlined rules and shorter playtime compared with its parent system, emphasizing quick card drafting, tableau building, and engine development to assemble the most valuable combinations.

Întrebări despre reguli
Răspunsuri din regulament de la asistentul de reguli Ludoya.
Can I place both a development and a world in the same round?
Yes. You may place one development and one world, but you must pay the full cost and you do not draw the usual card for placing a world. Alternatively, placing only a development reduces its payment by 1, while placing only a world lets you draw 1 card (p. 1).
Can I pay for a military world with cards instead of conquering it?
No. A military world with a red-outlined defense must be conquered using military icons or powers meeting its defense; you cannot combine military strength with card payments. A Contact Specialist can let you pay for a non-Alien military world instead, at a cost reduced by 1 (p. 1).
When can I place a second world, and does it count as a normal world placement?
A Colony Convoy or Military Convoy can let you place a second world after the first world has been paid for or conquered, but never more than two worlds in a round. The second world is placed before scoring, and a card drawn because you did not place a development may be used for it (p. 2).
How does the Explore action work, and do the marker’s icons stay active?
Instead of placing cards, place an Explore marker, draw 2 cards plus cards equal to your empire’s Explore icons—including the marker’s 3 icons—and then discard cards equal to your Explore icons for a net gain of 2 cards. The marker’s icons apply only to that Explore action, not to later Explores or card powers (p. 2).
Do I score only the cards I played this round, or my whole empire?
You score every card in your empire each round, including repeated cards and any variable bonuses they provide; place the round’s VP chips beneath the relevant cards or marker. The game ends immediately when any player reaches at least 50 total VP chips (p. 2).
Can I keep more than 10 cards in my hand?
Only temporarily during the round. After everyone collects income, any player with more than 10 cards must discard down to 10 (p. 2).
