Tao Long: The Way of the Dragon

Players each control a dragon represented on a circular abstract board and take turns manipulating shared tokens to activate movement, attacks, and blocks. Actions alter the board and thus change the options available to the opponent, creating a tug-of-war tied to the central Tao concept. Players pursue diminishing the rival dragon through positioning and tactical activation while navigating scenario-based rules and alternate modes that modify objectives and interactions. Games end when one dragon achieves dominance or scenarios dictate otherwise, with modular setups that support varied strategic patterns.

Strategy game trying to convey a classic feeling. PROS - Really beautiful, at least in its Deluxe edition. - It does feel like a classic abstract. CONS - It has many things to remember, with different effects going on in each mancala spot. - Feels slow and kinda demands too much planning for its results.
