Zooloretto

Players draft and place animals and their young into enclosure tiles to build a zoo layout and attract visitors. On each turn, players draw or take collection carts that contain groups of animals, then allocate them to available enclosures or the reserve, managing space to avoid overcrowding penalties. Scoring rewards filled enclosures, variety, and visitor appeal, while excess animals and unused space incur negative points. Players can expand or reorganize the zoo over the course of the game to optimize scoring.

Întrebări despre reguli

Răspunsuri din regulament de la asistentul de reguli Ludoya.

When I take a delivery truck, do I have to take all tiles on it and place them immediately in my zoo?

Yes — when you take an untaken delivery truck you place it (and all tiles on it) in front of you and must immediately add those tiles to your zoo following the placement rules (animals to empty enclosure or barn, stalls to stall space or barn, coins to your money) (page 2).

Can I put an animal tile into any enclosure or mix different animal types in the same enclosure?

No — an animal tile may only be placed on an empty enclosure space or in your barn, and no enclosure may contain more than one type of animal (you may have multiple enclosures with the same animal type) (page 2).

If an offspring fills the last space in an enclosure, do I get the coin bonus for filling the enclosure?

Yes, placing a tile on the last empty space earns the enclosure’s coin bonus, but there is an exception: you do not receive the bonus if the enclosure is filled as a result of an Exchange action or if an offspring is produced by an Exchange (pages 4 and 6).

Do I need two vending stalls to score for animals in a partially empty enclosure (e.g., I have 1 animal in a 4-space enclosure)?

No — you need only one vending stall adjacent to that enclosure to score when it has two or more empty spaces; with one empty space you score the lower enclosure value regardless of stall count (pages 4 and 6).

Can I move a single animal from an enclosure to another enclosure or to the barn on my turn?

No — you may not move an animal from an enclosure to another enclosure or to the barn; the Remodel 'Move' action only moves a single animal from the barn into an empty enclosure (and vending stalls may be moved), while an Exchange swaps all tiles of one animal type between two areas and requires animals in both areas (pages 3 and 6).

How are animals and vending stalls left in my barn scored at the end of the game?

Each animal type present in your barn scores −2 points, and each vending stall type in your barn scores −2 points (page 4).
