In this worker placement game, we will lead our tribe to adapt, prosper and leave a mark on history if we survive inclement weather and scarcity of resources and food, for 8 seasons. In each round, we will have to plan our actions and then carry them out. The actions will vary depending on the abundance or scarcity of resources around our village, and also depending on the actions other players have chosen. Over time, resources will run out and clans will have to migrate to find what they need for their development and survival. The game includes a huge number of components that we will distribute between the main board and the individual boards of each player. On the first one, we will be placing tiles around our initial settlement to reflect the expansion and exploration of our clan. These can generate resources in the form of materials, small game and big game (in both cases we will obtain materials and food, if we manage to capture the prey). We will also find space for cave art, for the creation of handicrafts, simple or prominent huts, and for the powerful actions of the tribe's shaman. On the individual boards we will manage our tribe by improving skills (range of movement, carrying capacity and crafting tools), we will house the tribe at the end of each station - or they will die if we don't have enough room for everyone, we will be able to reproduce (in the huts, where else?) and we will be able to store materials and food there. Beware that the latter gets wasted over time! The clan leader will help with bonuses to many of the available actions. At the end, we will score by number of huts built, population members, common goals achieved, craft pieces created, as well as cave paintings and megaliths erected in the name of the gods. Doggerland is a fantastic euro game, wonderfully crafted, highly complex and with great detail in historical fidelity. An experience as big as a mammoth! Doggerland is for you if you like: - The "euro" type games, of high complexity and long playing times. - Games with a historical setting, here we witness the first steps of nomadic societies! - Games with a large number of components and a first level elaboration. Even the manual is a treat, with comic strips included! Doggerland is NOT for you if: - You only like simple games to pass the time without thinking too much. - You don't have a place to deploy such a big game or 3 hours to play it!
