Players take the role of Nasrid nobles overseeing construction and patronage on the hill of Al-Sabika in Granada. Across five eras, players allocate actions on three interlocking rondels that represent building towers and gardens, commissioning poetic inscriptions, and establishing trade routes to Europe and the Maghreb. Income from trade funds construction and pays the tribute demanded by the Catholic Monarchs, while chosen actions also secure military protection against regional conflicts. Players score prestige from completed works, inscriptions, and successful trade; the highest prestige after the fifth era wins.

How far can I move a Worker for free, and do I pay extra if other Workers are already on the space?

The first 1 or 2 steps are free; each additional step costs 1 Dinar. You also pay 1 Dinar for each other player’s Worker on your destination space, including a Sultan’s Worker (p. 9).

Can I move to a space and choose not to do its action, or take a turn without an action?

After moving, you must carry out at least one available action on that space—you can do the Main Action, the connected Secondary Action, or both, in either order. If you cannot carry out any action, you must Rest instead (p. 9).

If I take a Raw Material I already have, do I get a second one?

No. Leave the Rondel token where it is and flip the matching Raw Material in your Workshop into its Good, then store it. Materials and Goods must fit in your Storehouses; you can discard a Good or return a Material to make room (pp. 6–7).

Can I export to a city where I already have one of my Ships?

No. Export only to a city where you have no Ship; exporting establishes your Trade Relationship there. If you already have a Ship there, you can Consolidate instead (p. 12).

How can I pay Parias, and can I use a Seal to move up my Paria track?

At tribute, pay each Paria by moving your token back one space, paying 2 Dinars, discarding a Seal, or losing 1 PP; you can combine these methods. A Seal can pay tribute, but it cannot advance your Paria token (pp. 12, 15).

Do we do a normal End of Round Phase after round five?

No. The game ends after the fifth round’s Action Phase, and the End of Game Phase replaces the usual End of Round Phase; it includes income, the final Narrator and tribute steps, and final scoring (pp. 16–17).
