Wizards of the Grimoire
Two wizards duel to become the Keeper by drafting spell pages from a shared Grimoire and building a personal engine of magic. Each turn a player drafts one spell into their repertoire, then spends mana to cast any available spells that are not on cooldown. Spells vary in cost, cooldown, and effect—some deal direct damage, others manipulate time or disrupt the opponent. Players balance mana management, cooldown timing, and synergies between spells while reacting to the same pool of available cards. Play continues until one wizard reduces the other's life points to zero.

A deterministic 1vs1 assymetric game PROS - There are some combos that can be interesting to discover. - It is almost a perfect information game, which makes it good for players who want to remove luck from their tables. CONS - The game feels way too slow to convey a magic duel feeling. Everything requires many turns and just feels more like a factory producing something that like a wizard fight. - The combos are very limited and there is no potential to create epic moments, as the cards max potential is capped. - There is no place for surprise, counters, any exciting moment at all. Everything is slow and openly displayed. Plays more as an abstract than anything else and definitely overstays its welcome for that kind of game.
chobbit6,5 Played it on BGA. Game is quick and flows well, the engine building is neat. Enjoyable and quick.
