Players each start with five lives and take turns playing cards to a running total. Numbered cards add their face value; players avoid pushing the total over 21 or they lose a life. Wild cards perform special actions such as resetting the total, skipping or reversing play, or forcing opponents to draw extra cards. If a player empties their hand without busting, every other player loses a life. Play continues until only one player still has lives.
