1331 Tangier. A young merchant leaves home to track down an adventurous cousin across the medieval trade routes of the East. Players navigate a branching narrative by playing and resolving cards that present choices, encounters, and travel events. Decisions steer the journey across mountains, deserts, and ports while managing resources and facing hazards like bandits and storms. The game uses historically informed scenarios and illustrations to evoke period settings, and includes a booklet with background material. A guided tutorial introduces the card-driven system; repeated playthroughs reveal alternate paths and multiple endings.
