Fishermen in coastal villages around Edo Bay seek a livelihood from the sea, supplying the market with fish and shellfish. Over five rounds, players use limited action points to catch and sell fish, upgrade their boats and nets, and increase their available actions. Loans and local connections help support their fishing businesses, while careful planning determines who builds the most wealth.

This game is mostly about turn order. The idea is each round there are a limited number of fish available, and a limited number of people to sell the fish to. Whoever goes first, scoops up the fish and makes it back to sell first. If you are going last, your best move may sometimes be just to immediately pass so that you'll go first next time, because by the time your turn comes around, there could easily not be anything left to do.
