Khronos

Players act as rival lords sending two agents through three linked eras to develop and contest domains across three stacked boards representing medieval, Renaissance, and modern periods. Each turn players play action cards to build military, religious, and civil structures, move buildings forward in time when they reach certain sizes, and spend resources to shift their pawns between periods. Control of a domain is determined differently on each board (military strength in the first, religious presence in the second, civil population and restored ruins in the third) and yields income on the 4th and 7th turns. Construction, destruction, and time travel interact: later builds can erase earlier ones when moved, and regrouping or splitting domains creates tight player interaction and strategic choices.

Nothing special here. The downtime between turns in these types of games tend to frustrate me.

The idea is fascinating, the art fantastic. It just doesn't work in practice. The hunt for a good time-traveling game is still on.
