Lock 'n Load: Band of Heroes

A tactical World War II wargame that simulates American airborne combat in Normandy during June 1944. Players command platoons, leaders, and heroes from U.S. airborne units and oppose German SS, Fallschirmjäger, and regular infantry forces, deploying squads, vehicles, and crew-served weapons across mounted maps. Gameplay uses counters to represent individual men, weapons, and tanks (Sherman, Stuart, PzIIIJ, Tiger), and Skill Cards that give leaders and heroes special abilities. Six mounted map boards, scenario-driven play, and sixteen historical scenarios recreate engagements in the Norman hedgerows and emphasize small-unit tactics and scenario objectives.
