War erupts across Rohan and Gondor as mercenaries and shadowy forces invade the lands of Men. Players take new heroes into a linked campaign of fifteen scenarios, traveling between regions like Fangorn and Osgiliath to confront enemy forces, defend locations, and resolve story-driven objectives. The expansion adds new enemy types, miniatures, journey map tiles, roles, and terrain that change tactical encounters and overland movement, while preserving the game’s cooperative, scenario-based exploration and combat mechanics.
