The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: The Long Dark

A small expansion that converts an existing cooperative scenario into a harder, darker version for Nightmare Mode. Players add a set of alternate encounter cards and follow a Nightmare card that specifies which original encounter cards to remove and how to integrate the new ones. The kit increases encounter difficulty with tougher enemies, more hazardous locations, and special encounter effects that change the scenario’s pacing and objectives. It includes a Nightmare Mode instruction card plus twenty encounter cards that replace and augment the original quest’s encounter deck.
