Candidates compete to become the chief of their tribe by demonstrating resourcefulness, planning, charisma, and trading skill. Each player manages a village through a year, gathering inhabitants and crops, trading inventory, and choosing whether to establish a crop, build a store, or train buying staff. Fate cards, character traits, and seasonal events bring opportunities and challenges, while a shared Magic Night affects the entire village. After the final month, players score points to determine the new chief.
