Players guide competing family dynasties through the rise and fall of a powerful trading corporation across the 18th and 19th centuries. Players assign relatives to Company posts at home and abroad, trade, campaign for offices, and barter favors to advance personal fortunes and social standing while collectively managing the Company’s budget and policies. Events such as rebellion, government regulation, and the loss of monopoly power emerge from player choices, and scenarios cover various historical periods or a full multi-decade campaign for longer play.
