Cannae-Lite: The Battles of Herdonia, 212 and 210 BC

A pair of historical battlefield scenarios recreates Hannibal’s victories at Herdonia in 212 and 210 BC. Each scenario sets up Roman and Carthaginian forces on a smaller scale—about one-quarter the size of Cannae—so players manage two- and four‑legion Roman armies against Hannibal’s formations. Play focuses on maneuver and envelopment using the SPQR ruleset: players deploy forces from the provided setup card, move counters, fight tactical engagements, and attempt to execute or resist flanking and encirclement. The module adds a scenario card and 21 counters to integrate these encounters into the base game.
