Build a crew of survivors and fight through the World War Two zombie apocalypse. Explore and place map tiles, battle swarming undead controlled by an automated game system, and complete missions with changing environments and enemy forces. Improve survivor skills, acquire equipment, customize weapons, and record campaign progress in the included field book. Play one-off solo or cooperative skirmishes, or link missions into campaigns with unique objectives and storylines.

I had the chance to playtest a preview copy of Desolation: Beyond Stalingrad Z. The game builds effectively on the systems introduced in Escape from Stalingrad Z, while adding character creation to an already satisfying mix of tactical combat and campaign progression. It’s exciting to see how the game is shaping up, and I’m looking forward to seeing the final version come together.
