Fields of Fire III: The Parachute Regiment

Command 2 PARA across Arnhem in 1944, the Falkland Islands, and Afghanistan. Lead lightly equipped airborne infantry inserted behind enemy lines by parachute or helicopter, relying on training, resilience, and limited support to hold out until reinforcements arrive. Manage communications failures, urban defenses, mine-sweeping duties, night assaults, collapsing buildings, and enemy helicopter attacks. Use period-specific equipment, from PIAT anti-tank weapons and bugles to Scorpion vehicles and WMIK patrol vehicles, while assessing whether people and approaching vehicles in Afghanistan are hostile or civilian.
