Israeli Independence: The First Arab-Israeli War

An introductory solitaire wargame depicting the First Arab-Israeli War. Five Arab armies invade the newly declared state, advancing toward West Jerusalem while Israeli forces organize a response. Players allocate limited Israel Defense Forces resources to launch offensives, push the invading armies back, and attempt to achieve an armistice before any force reaches the capital. An included article introduces wargaming as a tool for studying historical situations.
