NATO Air Commander

A solitaire strategic air command game set during a hypothetical World War III in 1987. Players take the role of an Allied Air Commander, making theater-level decisions and organizing flights of aircraft into raids and missions. Air operations are intended to influence a ground war that remains largely outside direct control, creating difficult choices within a fast-playing system.
