Workers clear the ruins of previous cities, gather resources, and build new settlements before the meteor strikes. Over 7–10 turns, competing factions use distinct starting resources, worker counts, and abilities to acquire blueprints and develop their city through construction, fortification, or beautification. Occurrence cards provide aid, resources, or dangerous events until the Meteor card appears near the end of the deck. The meteor then strikes random spaces on each city board, after which surviving structures and points determine the winner.
