SOPAC: Naval Action in the South Pacific 1942–1943

This naval battle game recreates the Solomon Islands Campaign in the South Pacific during late 1942 and 1943. Players assign missions and write orders for task forces before moving them across operational displays, using aircraft to search for enemy fleets and submarines. Combat takes place on detailed tactical displays, combining air strikes and surface engagements. Players track damage hit by hit, reducing ship capabilities and recording casualties. Twenty scenarios, divided between Battle and Operational formats, cover historical engagements and alternate situations.
