This expansion adds hidden threats to the provinces of feudal Japan. As armies move across the map, regions may contain scattered outlaws or stronger enemies that disrupt plans and challenge attempts to expand and maintain control. The added uncertainty makes exploration and conquest less predictable, requiring players to weigh the risks of entering unsettled territory.
