Players portray vampires navigating personal hunger, political intrigue, and fading humanity in a modern gothic setting. Gameplay focuses on interpersonal storytelling and scene-based roleplay, using a streamlined ruleset that models the characters’ escalating Hunger and supernatural disciplines. Players build detailed characters and coteries, resolve conflicts with dice pools, and use Loresheets and background mechanics to tie characters into the setting and ongoing plots. The game frames long-term conspiracies, violent factions, and external threats—such as witch hunts and secret wars—while encouraging moral tension between survival, power, and remaining humanity.
