Els jugadors assumeixen el control d’espècies alienígenes estranyes, cadascuna amb poders únics, i competeixen per escampar colònies per tota la galàxia. La jugabilitat gira al voltant de negociar, formar aliances temporals i resoldre trobades mitjançant cartes i daus o mecàniques de resolució de conflictes per guanyar sistemes als oponents. Un reglament compacte i una guia il·lustrada d’inici ràpid presenten les regles bàsiques i la preparació, mentre que les fitxes translúcides de naus representen la presència dels jugadors al tauler. La capsa inclou un alienígena nou amb habilitats de manipulació de mans que poden afectar les mans dels altres jugadors, a més de cartes Cosmic Combo que agrupen espècies en enfrontaments temàtics per oferir partides variades de tres a cinc jugadors.

Classic game with some twists and translucent ships in the anniversary edition. The inclusion of so many different alien races with asymmetrical powers is good and adds variability, but the rules about some of them are heavily unclear and forces you to waste some game to looking for clarifications online. I bet I'd love it if I had started playing it years ago, but having played it now for the first time, there are just so many better games out there. Still, open to getting it to the table!

I love this game. I know people think certain aliens are OP or that it is completely unbalanced, but that's the best part the hilarity of the game when played with friends. I do admit that my enjoyment stems from the group of people I play with and there have been plays where it has fallen flat with others because they were not engaged, but I still love the game because it's never a runaway.
