Players take the roles of feudal lords managing three fiefs apiece, hiring vassals and master craftsmen to develop lands and construct buildings. Play combines deck-building and resource management as players deploy vassals to gather money and resources, recruit new workers, and invest in local developments or the communal cathedral. Military actions allow interference with opponents’ progress, while a recurring tax collector forces players to balance spending and saving—stored resources are vulnerable to being halved. The game ends when a player reaches 10 points, earned through building developments and contributing to the cathedral.
