You resolve only the sections corresponding to the current Day and any earlier ones (at start you only apply the top section); if the Day marker advances you add the next section(s) cumulatively. Twilight sections are ignored unless you flip the Day marker to the Twilight side, in which case all twilight effects also apply (pp. 5–6).

Yes — during your Action step you may play cards from Camp Storage; when you play them they go to your discard pile at the end of your turn and re-enter your deck from then on; note some cards (Forest Guides and starting character cards) cannot be placed in Camp (p. 9).

Cards you remove from the Pathway are not replaced immediately; the board is refilled at the end of your turn unless you take a Travel action, which immediately updates the Pathway by moving cards left and filling from the deck (pp. 10–11).

You may still cross, but for each repair gem you fail to pay the Portal's energy backfires and each character loses one life per missing gem (p. 11).

Enemies used to acquire a Relic are removed from the game (returned to the box), while Hazards used that way go to the Pathway discard pile and will return to the Journey deck when it is shuffled (pp. 10–11, 14).

When you would lose life and your Life marker is on the Shield side, flip it to the Life side and reduce the loss by one (move the marker one step to the right rather than the full loss); if the marker reaches the defeat skull you are defeated (p. 13).
