Kingsburg

Players act as lords administering frontier territories over five years, with 20 turns composed of production seasons and periodic invasions. On each turn, players roll influence dice and place them on members of the King’s Council to collect resources, recruit soldiers, gain victory points, or claim special advantages. Every fourth turn is a winter battle where each player must defend against an invading army using their trained troops and military investments. Structure building, troop training, and council influence drive scoring. Multiple strategies are viable—military buildup, economic development, prestige construction, or courting influence in the Council—to accumulate the most points by the end of the fifth year.
