Super Dungeon Explore

Una escaramussa d’exploració de masmorres que canalitza l’estètica dels JRPG de 8 bits a través de miniatures d’estil chibi i lloses de tauler modulars. D’un a cinc jugadors controlen cadascun un heroi amb una carta de personatge que indica el moviment, l’atac, l’armadura, la força de voluntat, la destresa, els punts d’acció i els cors; un jugador fa de Cònsol Fosc i dirigeix els monstres de la masmorra. La partida alterna entre els herois individualment i les activacions dels monstres, amb un ordre de torns que varia a cada ronda. Els combats i les proves fan servir daus personalitzats amb cors, pocions i estrelles; els herois ferits roben cartes de botí i obren cofres per millorar el seu equipament. Els monstres rarament obtenen millores, mentre que el Cònsol Fosc desplega reforços des dels punts d’aparició. Els herois guanyen si derroten el cap de la masmorra que ha aparegut; el Cònsol Fosc guanya si elimina tots els herois.

    This is an overlord vs players minis combat game. The board is laid out with monster spawn points that spit a steady stream of bad guys. Players run around smashing the points, leveling up along the way by tucking cards into various sides of their player boards. Eventually the heroes get worn down, and then mini bosses or final bosses spawn and the really tough battle begins. The minis are cute, particularly the monsters. Lots of clever sculpts. The mechanisms are pretty basic. There's nothing that really makes this game stand out from similar games. Being the overlord is a little dull. The process could be automated and it would be a better experience. I would play this more, but nothing is pulling me to. ★ Art, Iconography and components functional ☆ Clever or interesting mechanisms ★ Reasonably low downtime between turns with mildly AP players ★ Multiple plays stay interesting ★ Low or mitigatable luck elements ★★★☆☆ Raw enjoyment
