Acuarella

Players create cat artwork by placing polyomino tiles with feline illustrations on their personal canvases. They follow placement rules and combine adjoining tiles to mix pigments and score points. Opportunity cards add changing challenges, while cat photos can fill empty spaces to avoid penalties. At the end of the game, used tiles are assembled into cats for additional points.

A simple and elegant game with the plus side of cute cats. The poliomino placing that might get you a card is a very fun mechanic, I loved taking my chances to see which type of bonus I got (like the psychic cat letting you declare a tile of any colour!). Overall, fun and easy to explain to others, no matter their exposure to board games. The help sheet is indeed very helpful, and I loved the final phase of building cats. Great game!
