Can you prevent World War I through diplomacy and careful brinkmanship? Players manage competing hawks and doves within their governments while responding to an escalating international crisis. Cards represent assertions of national power, consensus, national interests, back-channel diplomacy, and caution. Diplomatic Pressure earns Prestige, while rising Tension threatens defeat; players must balance these forces and decide when to push forward or back down. Additional effects influence Momentum and reduce Tension, and solitaire rules are included.
