Escalera

A traditional card game using four suits: gold, swords, clubs, and cups. The player holding the 7 of gold starts, and players take turns building visible sequences by placing cards one rank above or below cards already on the table. A 7 of another suit begins a new sequence. Players must play when possible and pass otherwise. The aim is to empty the hand. At the end of each round, remaining cards add one point each; a player reaching 15 points is eliminated. The game ends when two players remain, and the player with fewer points wins.
