Hart an der Grenze

Players attempt to cross a border with luggage containing legal and illegal goods. Each player declares a permitted cargo, whether truthful or not, while one player acts as sheriff and chooses who to inspect. Before an inspection, the targeted player may offer money to avoid having the luggage opened. If the inspection proceeds, undeclared goods are confiscated and a fine is paid. Players also store goods for the end of the game, when the border closes and prices double, though sales are limited and major traders sell first. Bluffing, negotiation, and planning determine the results.
