Illumination

Medieval monks compete to become head of the Scriptorium by illuminating manuscripts with reverent or irreverent artwork. Players place rows or columns of tiles across three Books, collecting Coins, Ritual tokens, and Scriptorium cards through careful placement. Matching factions trigger conflicts between angels and demons, knights and dragons, monks and rabbits, or dogs and squirrels. When a conflict is fully bounded, the player with more tiles wins and claims the associated Battle card. Points come from Rituals, face-up illumination tiles, Battle cards, and Crusade objectives.
