Storm Over Jerusalem: The Roman Siege

The forecast calls for catapults followed by heavy spear throwing and assaults. This two-player wargame simulates the Roman siege of Jerusalem in 70 CE, with one player commanding the Roman legions and the other directing the Judean defenders. Players maneuver units through city areas, contest Jerusalem’s walls, and use tactical cards to introduce events such as battering rams, famine, rigged colonnades, and attempts to escape the siege. Siege towers and Judean leaders add rules specific to the battle. Games cover the siege in turns of approximately 10–14 days and take 2–3 hours to play.
