Tara, Seat of Kings

Players compete to become High King of Ireland by developing their supporters from Farmers and Herdsmen through Warriors and Chieftains to Kings in different regions. Cards allow players to place pieces, swap pieces with Stone of Destiny cards, declare amnesties, or gain cumals, the game's currency. After placing or swapping, players can pay activation costs to promote adjacent pieces and capture opposing followers. Each round consists of three cards per player, followed by traitor actions, income collection, and the establishment of garrisons in regions with new Kings. Prisoners may be exchanged or ransomed. The game ends when one player establishes a King in two regions.
