Surveyors oversee teams working to map the coast of Japan. Players plan actions, improve artistic skills, and build relationships with local governments to generate income, then dispatch surveyors to different regions. After five rounds representing the 21 years of the project, the player who travels farthest and contributes most to the map gains the most honor.
